The Nigeria Fovernors Forum, NGF, have called on the presidency to declare a state of emergency concerning the recession the country is currently passing through.
The governors gave this charge in a three-point communiqué read by the Chairman of the Forum and Zamfara Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, in Abuja on Friday.
The governors also resolved to support the Federal Government to continue to “reflate” the nation’s economy out of the present crisis.
In addition to this, they agreed to set up state task forces on polio eradication, and ensure that lassa fever is contained.
