Ahmad Gulak, the Special Adviser to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on political affairs, has charged the Adamawa State House of Assembly to remove the present governor of the state, Governor Mutala Nyako for his betrayal and disloyalty to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Lamenting the lack of action and current silence seen in the state concerning current developments in the state, Gulak urged the lawmakers not to desist from their energy in checking corruption and other unethical practices in the state.

He also stated that the failure of the current administration to bring much needed development to the state requires swift and effective legislative action.

A member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Professor Jibril Aminu, also called for the amendment of the immunity clause in the constitution, protecting governors and giving them undue powers in order to discipline defecting governors.
