Business Reps condemn low utilization of 2013 capital budget

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, in Abuja on Thursday decried the low implementation level of the 2013 capital budget.

Tambuwal, said the level span>the early passage of the budget by the National Assembly, not much progress had been made in that regard.

The speaker said that the House will proceed on oversight to all ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs). due to poor state of implementation of the budget.

He further stated that the committee will submit a joint report to the House for consideration and this will serve as a guide for 2014 budget proposals.He urged committee to avoid distractions coming from the 2015 elections and focus so that their goal is achieved.

He said that the ongoing crisis in the ruling PDP have further exposed the weaknesses of internal party democratic culture and inter-party intolerance and they must try as much as possible to resolve the issues in order to sanitise the political space


"He added that they want to produce a solid electoral act, that will ensure no one takes unfair advantage of the existing loopholes to rig elections and make sure each vote counts in thecountry
