The House of Representatives Committee on Millennium Development Goals on Wednesday in Abuja threatened to sanction states that witheld the MDGs fund. Mr Alhasssan Doguwa the Chairman of the committee,warned the states during the sensitisation workshop on the 2013 Conditional Grant Scheme organised for the states by the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on MDGs, Dr. Precious Gbeneol.
The committee stated that early distribution of the funds by Finance Ministry is necessary for the achievement of MDGs by 2015.
The Chairman of the committee, Mr. Alhassan Doguwa, issued the threat to the states during a sensitisation workshop and avised governors to give their best n order to achieve the MDGs and also to use any method possible rather than hoarding the funds for their selfish interest
