International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law and Anambra state’s branch of the Civil Liberties Organization have urged the Independent National Electoral Commission in an open letter to comply to certain statutory provisions. This is to ensure that the local government and governorship elections in the State is valid.
It stated the fact that INEC had failed to present an updated voter's register in preparation for the forthcoming elections in October 5 and November 16, 2013.
Their letter was signed by the Chairman of Intersociety, Mr. Emeka Umeagbalasi; Mr. Aloy Attah and Mr. Justus Ijeoma for CLO.
