Hundreds of rioting surf fans rampaged through Huntington beach on July 29, tore the place apart and clashed with the police in the process. Shops were looted, police officers and several people were lightly injured.

The Huntington Beach Police Department posted photos of 25 suspects on facebook last week after scouring video of the riot.

Two days after the photos were posted, a friend of Luis Enrique Rodriguez, 18, tagged him in the comments on one of the photos.

Rodriguez responded by liking the post and sharing it on Facebook.

"Mr. Rodriguez, apparently proud of his actions, "liked" the Huntington Beach Police Department's picture #15 and shared it with his friends, which was noticed by numerous fans of our Facebook page and a series of tips leading to his identification," the police posted.

This made it easy to track him down and he has now been arrested and charged with vandalism.

He's accused of writing "**** the pigs" on police squad cars. His facebook profile picture features him sitting on top of a police squad car that same day.

Two things: he obviously considers himself a minor, and his crime ínconsequential."

He was probably also proud of his actions. Crazed, indeed.
