The Rivers State Police Command has withdrawn the security aides of Tony Okocha, the Chief of Staff to the State Governor and the Secretary to the State Government, George Feyii.

The action is said to be based on a police signal directing that all Special Protection Unit (SPU) personnel attached to both officials be withdrawn leaving only one orderly each.

According to reports, the signal emanated from SPU Base 6, Port Harcourt.

It was gathered that up to 15 policemen stormed the residence of Tony Okocha in a “commando–like” fashion to effect the order.

When contacted, Okocha affirmed that he was well-informed that the order was given by the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Mbu Joseph Mbu.
