An award-winning South African musician is recovering at home after he was shot and wounded by police in Midrand in the early hours of Monday morning.
Hip hop artist Khuli Chana was apparently on his way home from a gig when an unmarked car started following him. Six shots were fired at his vehicle, entertainer Melanie Bala tweeted.
Police allegedly mistook Chana for a wanted criminal who was driving a similar car, it was reported.
