The Emir of Sanusi has hired a lead legal counsel Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), alongside a legal team of Kola Awodein (SAN), president of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, A.B Mahmoud (SAN) and other top counsels to stall his planned removal by the Kano state assembly.
InsideOyo gathered that the legal team are already working on legal processes to be filed in Kano High Court Thursday morning.
The Kano State House of Assembly, had yesterday, set up an eight-man committee to investigate allegations levelled against the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II, bordering on his purported misconduct and alleged misappropriation of funds belonging to the Kano Emirate Council.
