Lagos-based lawyer and human rights activists, Gabriel Giwa-Amu, has slammed President Goodluck Jonathan over the suspension of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, saying, “with this unnecessary stroke by the President, the death kneel of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been spelt.”
Speaking withDaily Independentat the weekend, Giwa-Amu said it was unfortunate that the PDP government has decided, “to dig their political grave. It is a political victimisation. It is indeed very sad that a man, who ought to be commended for his style of leadership and rare helmsmanship at the CBN, is being tossed out like a bad coin in spite of his monumental contributions to the growth of this country.
