Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and All Progressives Congress party (APC) chieftain Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, reacting to the suspension of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as CBN governor has said that the president’s action was the height of “desperation and impunity.”

The politician, who is also a Twitter activist, tweeted: “when a government is desperate to protect the most corrupt in its midst, the first target is the truth and bearers of the truth. This is the height of desperation and impunity.”
