Nigeria's Senate President Bukola Saraki, will reveal details of the budget of the Red Chamber after the current recess, Senator Sehuh Sani has stated.
Saraki had promised several months ago to reveal details of Senate budget but he's yet to do so at the moment. N115bn was allocated to the National Assembly in the 2016 budget.
Speaking in an interview published by Premium Times, Sen. Sani said "the senate president is certainly going to make this budget open by the time that we are back from recess.
"As the chairman of the National Assembly, there is no option but to make it public. I actually see no reason why it should not be made public. I have just been to the Senate for the first time and I have seen that has been the tradition for a very long time but it will be in the interest of the integrity and reputation of the National Assembly that the budget should be made public. That one is sure.
