World Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Deposed

King Salman of Saudi Arabia has deposed the sitting crown prince and replaced him with his 31-year old son Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the deputy crown prince.



A royal decree removed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, a 57-year-old nephew of the king. The former crown prince was also fired from his post as interior minister; Aljazeera reports.

The newly-announced crown prince was also named deputy prime minister and will maintain his post as defence minister.
