Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi recently personally awarded six exceptionally brilliant students full scholarships to Harvard, Oxford and the University of Technology, Tinajin, China.
However, he was criticized for his actions by governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State, Mr. Dayo Adeyeye.
He defended his actions in a statement read by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olayinka Oyebode to journalists in Ado Ekiti, that he awarded the scholarships to motivate them to succeed and to motivate others to study and excel.
