Metro Security Tightens in Key Areas as Nigerians Prepares for Eid-el-Fitr

Armed security personnel have been deployed to key areas in the Northern part of the country which have been noted for terrorist attacks in the past in time of Religious holidays, and seasons.

The Eid-el-Fitr marks the Muslim holy fasting periods, and the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Thursday 07/08/2013, and Friday 08/08/2013 as a national holidays.

President Goodluck Jonathan had earlier placed a 24 hours curfew on three places noted for terrorist’s attacks which has led to loss of lives and properties. The states are Yobe, Adamawa, and Borno.
