On Thursday, the United Nations Development Programme in partnership with Oxfam Nigeria revealed a report which claims that 46 per cent of households in Nigeria’s North-East borrow money to eat, while 61 per cent of residents in the region lack access to portable water.


The North-Eastern states are:

1. Adamawa

2. Bauchi

3. Borno

4. Gombe

5. Taraba

6. Yobe.
