The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Prof. Mahmood Yakub as substantive Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission and other INEC Commissioners.
Yakubu who answered all questions posed at him, stated that, he would not be intimidated in the discharge of his activities as INEC chairman.
Others who were confirmed by the senate are Adedeji Solomon Shoyobi (Commissioner), Dr Muhammed Mustapha Lekki (Commissioner), Hajia Amina Zakari (Commissioner), Dr Anthonia Taiye Okoosi (Commissioner) and Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo (Commissioner).
