The 2011 Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) governorship candidate for Imo State, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume according to Daily Trust has returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Araraume reportedly returned to PDP with the 27 coordinators of his campaign organization and some of his loyalists.
He described his return as homecoming, said he will ensure the PDP returns to power in Imo in 2015 and promised to do everything within his powers to support the party.
“From today henceforth, PDP will be one united indivisible body, today we have a rebirth PDP and I am back to PDP to play a role I know how to play,” he said.
Receiving the senator, deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha thanked Araraume for his decision to come back to the PDP.
Outgoing chairman of PDP, Eze Duruiheoma also commended the initiative of the senator and recalled that the state exco of the PDP had gone to ask Araraume to return to the party.
