The former Senator from Adamawa State, Senator Grace Bent has said that it was time for the nation to seriously consider the emergence of a female vice president in the country.
This was said by the Senator during the inauguration of the Governing Council of the Africa's first cultural tourism television reality called "Jewel of Africa", saying it was past time that women in Nigeria decided on the issue of national affairs of Nigeria, adding that women were no longer satisfied with taking the back seat.
The Senator said, "Women should be allowed to take the front seat in this country; we have a lot to contribute; we want to be part of decision making and not only serving as ministers and advisers.”
