In order to encourage parents to send their children to school, Borno State government has announced that it will pay parents who send their child(ren) to school.
This decision was made in light of the low turnout in schools due to insecurity in the region.
The governor of the state, Kashim Shettima also promised to rebuild the over 800 blocks of classrooms destroyed by Boko Haram.
