Pandemonium broke loose at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos yesterday as customs and clearing agents allegedly battled over the alleged mishandling of Mr. Taju Olanrewaju, a Customs Area Comptroller by clearing agents.

There was shoot out and pandemonium at the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCo) at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos, as the officials of the Nigeria Customs Service at the airport battled the clearing agents over alleged manhandling of the Customs Area Comptroller (CAC), Mr. Taju Olanrewaju.
At 2.45 pm when Daily Independent visited the scene of the fracas at NAHCo, several gun shots were heard with agents, intending passengers and all those going to the international terminal running for their lives.
At the entrance to the cargo section at NAHCo, Amoured Personnel Carrier (APC) was seen strategically positioned to ward off any threat by the agents under the umbrella of the Association of Nigeria Licence Customs Agents (ANLCA).
