But instead of stepping forward for his award, a voice announced that Bibilari had kicked the bucket.

The Dean of Faculty of Arts, Prof. Gbemisola Adeoti, called his name out to receive the award. His colleagues wept profusely. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the institution, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, announced that a minute silence be observed in honour of the deceased.

New Telegraph learnt that Bibilari was a victim of an auto crash which occurred in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, in July. In the accident, no fewer than four persons died while about three sustained various degrees of injury.

In his speech, the acting Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof Anthony Elujoba, charged the graduating students to be productive in any given society they might found themselves.

Elujoba added that the institution had given enough education that could make the graduands withstand the hurdles and challenges of life while they were on the campus. He then urged them to be good ambassadors of OAU wherever they might be.
