Sports Sports minister Tamuno Danagogo and former NFF president Aminu Maigari to appear in court next week

The last may not have been heard on the ongoing crises at the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) after a Federal High Court in Jos served contempt charges to some football stakeholders.

Sports minister,Tammy Danagogo,immediate past president of the NFF,Aminu Maigari and secretary general of the NFF,Musa Amadu have all been charged with 'contempt of court'.

The charges were in relation to last week's NFF elections that went on in Warri,Delta State despite a court order restraining that.

According to a report by the News of Nigeria(NAN)all the people summoned in the court order are to appear in court on Oct. 8, 2014: “and prove why they should not be committed to prison.”

“Take notice that the plaintiff will on Oct. 8, 2014 at the hour of 9. O’clock apply to this Court for an Order for your committal to prison," part of a notice served to them read.

“This is for disobeying the Order of this Court made on Sept. 19, 2014, enjoining and restraining you jointly and severally from convening or holding a general assembly or extraordinary general assembly.

“Also, for holding election into the board of the NFA pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice filed in this case.”
