The Caretaker Chairman of Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State, Alhaji Zannah Modu Gubio, has pledged a brand new car to any student from the area who got nine credits in the ongoing Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSCE).
The council chairman made the pledge in Gubio, headquarters of the council while seeing off students of Government Secondary School, Gubio. It would be recalled that in 2011 SSCE, only two students passed English and Mathematics at credit level in the whole of Northern Borno Senatorial District, and even these lucky students.
The two students, it was gathered were not Borno indigenes, but that their fathers were military personnel posted to Monguno Barracks.
