Business Stanbic IBTC unveils pension mobile office

Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, a member of Stanbic IBTC Holdings is set to deploy an innovative mobile office, which is the first of itskind in the pension industry in Nigeria. This innovation will offer existing and potential customers of pension fund administration a more convenient service at all time.

The innovative mobile office, which has already been deployed in Lagos, is set to be introduced in other cities across the Federation. The unveiling ceremony was performed by the Head of Service, Lagos State Civil Service Commission, Mr. Adesegun Ogunlewe, represented by Mrs. Folashade Onanuga, Executive Director, Technical, Lagos State Pension Commission.

Innovation will set straight the issues associated with pension and sensitize more Nigerians to sign up to the contributory pension scheme, thereby enhancing financial inclusion.


He further said, “We believe that this initiative which speaks of convenience and accessibility is one of our key steps towards building a legacy of exceptional service delivery where the customer is the focal point of all our activities. This initiative will bring pension service to the doorsteps of our customers and prospective customers alike.”


Sogunle said it was to enhance rapport and uninterrupted interface with its customers that Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers launched its 24-hour, multilingual call centre that comes in the three major Nigerian languages namely Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa as well as Pidgin English. Customers who call into this call centre, he said, have the option of being attended to in their preferred language.


As a member of the 150 year-old Standard Bank Group, Sogunle emphasized that Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers is backed by the requisite expertise and experience, strong and sound financial clout, ensuring efficiency in the management and safety of clients’retirement savings.
