Students declare state of emergency on education

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) who had earlier passed a vote of no confidence on Jonathan has declared on a state of emergency on education.

In a press statement issued by the NANS
Treasurer Zone A, Comrade Isah Abubakar, the FG was called on to fund the sector and implement the 26% budgetary allocation to education.

They expressed dismay over the standoff between the FG and ASUU which has led to the prolonged strike.

They also called for the provision of funds for all levels of education and they asked that monotechnics should no longer be excluded from the TETFUND.

They have threatened to take action if the FG does not consider their demands.
