Sports Sudan vs Nigeria: Match Preview and some facts about tonight's game

Both Sudan and Nigeria will go into their game today knowing that anything other than a win is more or less 'au revoir' from the 2015 African Nations Cup tournament.

The two teams occupy third and fourth positions which is short off the qualification mark to be in Morocco next year.

As defending champions of the Nations Cup tournament, the Super Eagles knows that it will be an absolute travesty if they fail to qualify to successfully defend their trophy.

Nigeria has only one point and are in third position behind Congo and South Africa who occupy the first two positions respectively.

Having seemingly resolved all the boardroom crises that rocked the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) during last month's qualifiers, there will be no excuse for the Super Eagles if they fail to fly in the games against Sudan.

The team hid under the cloak of the crises that engulfed the NFF,to mask their below par games against Congo and South Africa, with only just one point to show after the two games.

Although Stephen Keshi had some injury setback to contend with before the team departed for Sudan.

Both Victor Moses and Michael Bababtunde were ruled out with injuries, although the latter is poised to make a return in the return fixture in Nigeria.

Not even the artificial pitch at the Khartoum Stadium would be a plausible explanation if the Super Eagles as much as falters.

The expectations are that Nigeria will beat Sudan, which any other contrary outcome is nothing short of a disaster.
