The Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has announced the end of Ramada in Nigeria.
The President-General Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), on Saturday declared Sunday June 25 equivalent of Shawwal 1 Sallah.
He said the new moon has been sighted in parts of the country including Borno, Yobe and Adamawa. He called on Muslims all over Nigeria to stop fasting and congratulated the Muslims for successful completion of Ramadan.
He also urged them to keep alive the lessons if Ramadan even after fasting is over.
