Super Falcons to get new coach this week – NFF President

President of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF),Aminu Maigari,has revealed that a new coach,would be appointed for the Super Falcons this week.
The technical committee of the NFF are due to sit in Abuja this week and make suggestions,over who will replace Kadiri Ikhana as the coach of the Super Falcons.
Ikhana was sacked last year,following Nigeria’s poor outing at the African Women’s Championship in Equatorial Guinea,where they finished fourth,and the Super Falcons have been without a coach since then.
However Maigari said,that the appointment which would have been made last week,was delayed because the NFF wanted to concentrate on helping the Homebased Eagles qualify for the CHAN Championship.
“We are yet to make a final decision on who the Super Falcons coach will be. We have a lot of talented and qualified coaches; this is a national issue, not about one man,” Maigari told Soccer Press.net
“The technical committee will sit and look at all the options and come out with the way forward in the appointment of the new Super Falcons coach,” he further added.
The first assignment of the new Super Falcons coach,will be to take charge of Nigeria’s double-headed friendly games against World Champions,Japan.
There are speculation that former Falconets coach,Adat Egan,could be the one selected for the job,
