Sports Super Falcons wants to win the African Women's Championship title - Desire Oparanozie

Super Falcons striker Desire Oparanozie is confident that the team have moved on from their disappointment of 2012, saying that the team has one target - the trophy.

The Nigerian ladies will on Saturday kick off their 2014 Africa Women’s Championships (AWC) campaign with a match against Ivory Caokicks off their campaign against Ivory Coast

The six-time winners of the competition came fourth at the last AWC in 2012 without a single medal in Equatorial Guine.

“There were things we did not do right in 2012. We’ve identified those mistakes and this time, we will right all the wrongs,” attacker told supersport.com.

“We (players) are not under pressure. We believe in ourselves and we know what is at stake.

“I want to assure Nigerians that we know what is at stake and we know why we are going to Namibia.”

Nigeria are in Group A of the AWC alongside Zambia, the Ivory Coast and hosts, Namibia.
