Politics Synagogue: Inside Nigeria, S. Africa's Unholy 'Corpses for Arms' Deal

Amidst the discussions that South Africa is yet to hand over the $15 million it seized from Nigeria in a botched arms deal, it appears that both countries entered what Premium Times is calling an 'unholy barter' to exchange the bodies of the South Africans who died in Nigeria's SCOAN building collapse for South-African weapons to fight Boko Haram.

On the 16th of November, 74 South African bodies were repatriated to the country under the supervision of Mr. Radebe. Most of these bodies were from the collapse of the Synagogue guest house, and Radebe was hailed as a hero.

The Mail and Guardian, one of South Africa's leading newspapers has however said that this was a sinister deal agreed upon by South Africa and Nigeria.

When the South African government attempted to discredit the paper's claim, the Mail and Guardian released a document to back up its claim.
