The Acting Governor of Taraba State, Garba Umar, on Tuesday inaugurated six new commissioners as members of the state executive council. He has also appointed Mr Gavey Yawe as Secretary to the State Government.
The inauguration followed their earlier screening and confirmation by the State House of Assembly.
Umar, in his speech, shortly after the inauguration, noted that the clearance of the commissioner-nominees was done by the House in the manner that was devoid of wrangling and rancor.

The acting governor said the six new commissioners had brought to 10 commissioners in the state executive council, stressing that three additional nominees would soon be sent to the Assembly to complete the required number of 13 commissioners.

Umar, who enjoined the SSG to keep up with the good work he exhibited throughout his years of public office and that of the SSG for the past 10 months, said the state would continue to count on him to use his wealth of experience in moving the state forward.(NAN)
