Mr. Danbaba Suntai,Taraba State Governor,who was flown abroad for medical treatment since October 2012 is expected back in Nigeria on Saturday, his wife, Hauwa, has said.
Suntai Was flown abroad following injuries he sustained in a plane crash in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
Hauwa confirmed in a telephone interview that her husband was billed to leave the hospital on Saturday.
Already plans are in full gear to give the governor a rousing welcome on arrival in Abuja before his departure for Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
Suntai’s return is coming at a time when some Taraba politicians have asked the Taraba state house for his impeachment to enable his deputy, Alhaji Garba Umar, who has been acting as governor since the accident, fully take over.
