We found this chart on the Business Insider which shows that most of the products we buy are owned and controlled by just a handful of companies. This is what is known as The Illusion of Choice.

There it is guys: when you go shopping and get thrilled (“Oh my God! I have so many products to choose from!”) you might want to remember that everything all comes back to the big 10, more or less.

These are the ten corporations:
Coca Cola, Kraft, Pepsico, Kellogg’s, MARS, Nestle, P&G, Johnson&Johnson, Unilever and General Mills.
