Policemen are kicking against a new scheme introduced into their system which has led to deductions in their monthly salaries.
Although it was learnt that the deductions was for the procurement of Fokas Savings and Loans Limited shares, some policemen believe the scheme is dubious because they were not informed about it prior to the salary deduction.
Also, the punch correspondent learnt that apart from the initial N5,000 deducted to buy the shares, other deductions had been made from police salaries.
However, a senior officer that the scheme is to encourage policemen to save especially due to the fact that quite a number of them spend frivolously.
