The Minister of Police Affairs, retired Navy Capt. Caleb Olubolade, has given assurance that the police will provide security nationwide during the yuletide season.
He gave the assurance on Tuesday in Abuja, stressing that the police, in collaboration with sister security agencies, were more determined and better equipped and trained to detect and prevent crimes.
The minister urged the people to be conscious of security issues in their communities and report any suspicious activity to the police and other security agencies.
According to him, the timely report of such threats is necessary in order to enable security personnel forestall the activities of criminals in the society.
