President Goodluck Jonathan, may have been endorsed by the three main organs of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the sole presidential candidate of the party, ahead of its presidential primaries, the North appears not to have given up on its quest to have the presidency return to it, next year, Saturday Sun can reveal.

Although, some of the Northern leaders may still want to pretend about it, Saturday Sun’s investigations revealed that as at today, the region is largely divided over President Jonathan’s renewed ambition to run again in 2015, especially because some of them who supported his aspiration in 2011, did so on the understanding that he would not be seeking another term, at the expiration of his tenure, in 2015.

One man, who first made it clear, early enough, that the North was going to be united against Jonathan, in 2015, was no other person than the chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Niger State Governor, Muazu Babangida Aliyu.
