Chelsea manager,Jose Mourinho,has insisted that it is either Wayne Rooney or no player else,adding that they would be patient till the last day of the transfer window.
Rooney has clearly stated his desire to leave Manchester United,but the club are adamant that they will not sell him,not the least to their rivals,Chelsea.
Chelsea have already made two bids for Rooney,the last being £25m plus other add-ons,but United turned down the offer.
Speaking about his club’s pursuit of Rooney,Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said: “We are far away so I do not know every detail, but we are doing things in the correct way. We made the bid and Manchester United have reacted, so let’s see what happens,” the Portuguese said.
“But we can’t do any more than we are doing now.”
“We are doing things legally, making the official bid directly to the club, no interviews or comments or direct relations with the player, no contact, absolutely nothing.”
“We are doing everything in an ethical way, so let us see if things change.”
“There is no time limit. We have our squad of strikers. We have identified the player as one we would look to have with us. And we will see how it goes,” Mourinho added.
