Togolese Prime Minister Resigns

Kwesi Séléagodji Ahumey-Zunu,Togolese Prime Minister, has resigned, leaving office with members of his cabinet, the Togolese presidency said in a statement made available to PANA on Wednesday.

President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe has accepted his resignation.

According to the presidency, the resignation followed the results of the parliamentary elections, held on July 25 and described by the opposition as “sham”.
