Freedoline Ndieze, an Igbo trader was on Wednesday arraigned before a Somolu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over alleged production and sale of adulterated gin.
According to Police Prosecutor, ASP Akinlebi Adegoke, the accused was found with cartons of adulterated gin.
According to him, an investigation is still going on to unravel where the substandard goods were produced.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Bola Osunsanmi granted him bail in the sum of N200, 000 and two sureties in like sum, and adjourned the case to November 20 for substantive trial. (NAN)
