Ondo state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko's bid to take charge of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP may have hit rock bottom as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has recognized the Ebenezer Alabi-led faction of the party.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday monitored the ward congress conducted by the Ebenezer Alabi-led executive of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State.
The Electoral body shunned parallel congresses held in hideouts by a PDP caretaker committee formed by Governor Segun Mimiko, despite an existing party leadership in place.
Speaking with our correspondent, an official of the INEC said there was no official letter or petition whatsoever to indicate that the party’s leadership in the state had been dissolved. The party’s executives, he said, are fully in place.
