Following the Thursday resignation of Bamanga Tukur as National Chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), strong indications emerged on Friday, that President Goodluck Jonathan will on Sunday hold a crucial reconciliation meeting at the Presidential Villa with Governors Aliyu Wamakko, Rabiu Kwankwaso and Murtala Nyako of Sokoto, Kano and Adamawa states respectively.
The trio were among the five PDP governors that defected from the party to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC)
The Presidential parley which comes ahead of the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting already scheduled for Monday, to pick a new chairman for the party, is aimed at appealing to the aggrieved former PDP governors to return to the PDP.
