Former First Lady, Hajiya Turai #Yar’adua, has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the immediate release of the abducted schoolgirls in #Chibok, #Borno.

She made the call on Monday in Katsina at the late President Umaru Yar’adua's Memorial Lecture entitled: "An Evaluation and Contributions of Governor Umaru Musa Yar’adua’s Educational Development in Katsina State."

Yar’adua, who condemned the abduction, said that Nigerians should continue to pray to Almighty God to rescue the innocent girls and return them to their parents.

She also urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the peace, unity and stability of the country.

The former first lady said that her late husband was passionate about the peace, unity and corporate existence of Nigeria.

She described her late husband as ‘‘a practical leader who wanted peace in the entire country, Umaru was a humble, loving and caring husband with great love for the nation’’.
