Business Turkey seeks partnership with Nigeria on Agricultural Research, Seed& Fertilizer production

Turkey’s Deputy Minister for Food, Agriculture and livestock, Mr Kutbettin Arzu in an interview with newsmen has revealed that the Republic of Turkey is interested in partnering with Nigeria in agricultural research, seed and fertiliser production.

Arzu said his recognised Nigeria as a very important country and was ready to develop agricultural relationship with it.

“Both countries are members of the D8 bloc; we are ready to develop collaboration between the two countries; we are responsible for agriculture and we want to develop healthy relationship with Nigeria.

“Turkey is the 7th biggest agriculture economy in the world and also Nigeria is a very important country in the world.

“That is why we want to develop collaboration in agricultural research, seed and fertiliser production with Nigeria’’, he said.
