No fewer than 64 people were killed and 190 wounded in a wave of bombings that came amid Eid festivities marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The bombings took place in different parts of Iraq. Shiite neighborhoods in Baghad , Tuz Khurmatou, Mosul, Nasiriya and Karbala are the places that were hit by the series of bombing.

In the wake of dramatic bloodshed in Iraq on Saturday, the U.S. State Department said it has offered a $10 million reward for information that helps authorities kill or capture the head of al-Qaeda in Iraq, claiming the al-Qaeda is behind most similar attacks this summer.

In a press statement released on Saturday, the State Department said the attacks "bear the hallmarks of suicide and vehicle attacks in Iraq over the past ninety days" and said most of those attacks were committed by al-Qaeda in Iraq, which is led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
