The UN Development Programme (UNDP) has concluded the renovation of a police station in Sinfra department, West-Central Cote d’Ivoire, its official has said.

A statement from the UN mission in Cote d’Ivoire (UNOCI) said the keys to the station had been handed-over to the Sinfra local authorities.

UNDP Coordinator in the area, Assandé Arsene said in a report circulated to newsmen in Abidjan on Tuesday that the police station was ready for use.

He said that the Sinfra Prefecture Police station was destroyed during the post-election violence in the country.

Yao N'Gnamé, Chief Warrant Officer, in Sinfra department, also commended the UN system for the gesture. (NAN)
