The United Nation has written Nigeria's Minister of Communications Technology, Dr. Omobola Johnson and the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), to consider the implementation of the Malaria Destroyer Game (MDG) solution in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.

This follows the World Summit Award (WSA), a UN World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) based initiative, selecting the MDG's solution for an award from over 400 IT solutions from Africa, during this year's WSA 2014, organised by the African Development Bank in Rabat, Morocco, according to ThisDay.

The MDG solution was developed in Nigeria by Mobile Software Solutions, a company established a year ago as an IT Start-up focused on e-Health, and designed to address the malaria scourge in Nigeria and Africa.

In a letter addressed to the minister, and signed by the Chairman, WSA Board, Prof. Peter Bruck, he congratulated Nigeria for producing this year's winner, and called on the minister to ensure the Solution was given the encouragement and support it deserved, to enable the developers come up with enough solutions that would address the malaria scourge in Nigeria and Africa.
