In a video shared by army spokesperson, Sani Usman's Facebook page, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) could be seen throwing stones and sticks at a military armoured tank and other vehicles outside the home of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu on September 10.

The Nigerian army also described news of the attack and invasion of Nnamdi Kanu 's home as fictitious, saying it was a group of suspected IPOB militants that blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on show of force along FMC-Word Bank Road in Umuahia town, Abia State.
