Embattled IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu on Monday, lamented the treatment meted out to detainees in Nigeria.

Speaking after the hearing of his bail application hearing in Abuja, he noted that over 2000 detainees are languishing in Kuje prison.

Pointing at the family members of the detainees he said, “These people have been in detention for five years without trial.

“That’s what they do in this country, very terrible.

“Over two thousand people locked down there without trial and this is not justice in any shape or form.

“Here, people don’t reason. That’s why they are detained. Their children have been there for a very long time.
