The 2015 Volkswagen Beetle is designed with an optional 2.0-litre diesel engine with 10 extra horsepower and with a slight increase in fuel economy.

The Beetle Classic is the new trim level that has been ushered into the brand’s lineup. All other models except the Base Beetle are designed with a review camera.

What’s New about Beetle in 2015?

One of the exceptional features of the new Volkswagen Beetle 2015 is under the hood.

Recently updated this year, the available turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine gets an additional 10 horsepower and a bump in fuel economy to an impressively frugal 34 mpg in combined driving.

However, if you don’t prefer diesel, the standard 1.8-liter turbocharged engine offers a good combination of economy and power. Also, the R-Line gets a 2.0-liter engine that has even more power.

Special Features and Interior Design

The 2015 VW Beetle was inspired from the initial flower-power model, but it still include similar, features, controls and built-design as other contemporary VW Beetle.

The car is designed with an optional navigational system which is easy to use. Also, it has a Fender sound system which provides exceptional sound quality and is well worth the additional cost.

In the trunk, the Beetle Coupe has 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space but the convertible reduces maximum cargo capacity to just 7.1 cubic feet.

And that is about 1-2 cubic feet more than the Fiat 500 convertible or the Mini Cooper convertible, but loading luggage or other items can be difficult because of the Beetle convertible's awkward, upright trunk opening.

However, when you fold the rear seats flat in the Beetle coupe, you'll have about 30 cubic feet of cargo space for use.

Also, the convertible power soft top folds down in about 10 seconds and it can be operated at speeds up to 31 mph. But when the top is folded down, it stands on top of the deck lid and limits the rear’s visibility.

How Does the 2015 VW Beetle Drive?

The turbocharged 1.8-liter engine is powerful, provides significant fuel economy and is smooth. Also, the more powerful engine in the Beetle R-Line sounds better and offers more punch.

Similar to other Volkswagen Beetle model the Beetle TDI offers significant low-speed shove and very impressive fuel economy. The Beetle's handling is uniquely proficient; the car’s entire capacity and steering response is exceptional.
